Broken Wing

Like a bird with a broken wing,
I feel limp and helpless,
Despite my afflictions I know I must rise up
from the ashes like the Pheonix,
Beyond the horizon,
through the vastness of an eternal sky,
there you will see me fly;
The turbulent winds will suppress me no longer,
Please do not surrender to my weakness,
For I have a long journey ahead of me;
There's an intense force that lies within the
confines of my consciousness,
A force I cannot explain,
I feel stronger than an ox,
And more courageous than a lion,
I can promise you however,
That upon reaching my destination,
There I will acknowledge you,
And there you will see me.

The Charleton

The poor vindictive pauper decided to disguise himself as a prince to court the wealthy women of the royal council and swindle them for their money.  As fate would have it, during one of his clandestine engagements, he fell in love with one of the women in particular, Princess Catherine.
Since he got himself into this predicament,
and despite his disillusions of grandeur,
he knew that one day he would have to tell her the truth.
